# Tax & Charges
> Configure tax collection and processing fee settings for your event.
The Tax & Charges page controls whether you collect tax from attendees and who bears the platform and payment gateway processing fees. It has two tabs: **Tax Details** and **Processing Fee**.
Navigate to **Event Dashboard → Payments & Taxes → Tax & Charges** to access this section.

## Tax Details
### If you do not want to collect tax
Select **No, I do not want to charge tax for this event**. No tax will be added to ticket prices.
By selecting this, you acknowledge that you do not have a tax registration and will not collect tax from participants. You are responsible to the tax authorities for any consequences.
Toggle **Show tax details on invoice** if you still want tax-related fields to appear on attendee invoices.

### If you want to collect tax
Select **Yes, I want to charge tax for this event**. Additional fields appear to configure your tax details.
| Field | Description |
| ---------------------------------- | ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ |
| **Who will bear the Tax Charges?** | **Organiser** - tax is included in the ticket price. **Attendees** - tax is added on top of the ticket price at checkout |
| **Country** | Select India |
| **Tax Name** | Defaults to GST for India |
| **Tax ID** | Your GST registration number (e.g., 22AAAAA0000A1Z5) |
| **Tax Rate** | The applicable tax rate percentage (e.g., 18) |
| **Full Name or Business Name** | Your name or registered business name as it will appear on invoices |
| **Business Address** | Your registered business address for invoices |
**Tax Invoice** - Toggle **Yes** to allow attendees to provide their own GST number at registration, so invoices can be issued to their business.
**Enable Invoice Prefix** - Toggle **Yes** to set a custom prefix and starting number for invoice numbers, ensuring sequential and consistent invoice tracking.
Click **Save** to apply, or **Cancel** to discard.

## Processing Fee
Choose who bears the KonfHub platform fee and payment gateway fee:
| Option | Description |
| ------------- | ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| **Organiser** | The processing fee is included in the ticket price - attendees pay only the listed ticket price |
| **Attendees** | The processing fee is added on top of the ticket price at checkout |
Click **Save** to apply your selection.
